The Philosophy In Raindrops

No introductory piece...just read. That's my take on what the raindrops murmur away...

STREAMS OF LIFE

Enough of pitter – patter, I command thou,

Torrential rains, let it rain, I beseech thou,

O’ sovereign of the skies, to you I bow,

Open your bounty, let thy blessings shower,

On every meadow, moor, oak and its bough.

Sailing on the barge of life,

everything was quiet and calm,

Like before the birth of a born,

The essence calmed the qualm.

Mother heaven opened her bosom,

To give unto mortals her offspring of rain.

In that very rainbow, I saw myriad colours,

Birth, youth, pain, agony, death, life; all,

Overlapped into one contour, in that,

Twilight of unfailing life.

Strolling along the streets of destiny,

Saw I, streams of water from rain, many.

Not one flowed straight, As though bent by a weight.

All was revealed, in that moment I dwelt,

The truth of all omnipotent, omniscient, I felt.

Struggling along their destined path, they follow,

Not once in lethargy do they wallow.

Winding along the corners of life,

Thus they spoke, “Live! O’ scion of Manu’s race,

Live for Mother Earth, who has borne us through age,

You are none, but destiny’s pawn, destiny’s child!”

Incessantly did it rain, for that had the Lord ordained,

To teach his human race, to live life at its pace.

To take every obstacle in its stride,

To meet the challenge of these mighty hills,

Of these lofty reminiscent of a silvery past,

Of Truth, of loyalty, of “Gold – God – Glory” long past.

And then suddenly, did the rains cease,

As reins pulled to a raging steed.

And everything was all a – new,

Clear as crystal, fresh as morning dew.

Then it showed up bright,

My mind’s candles lit for a flight,

Into the dungeons of knowledge.

To expel the darkness of ignorance,

To steer the ship of truth,

To its destination, to the Isle of Man,

And to revel in the glory of the dawn,

Of life, burst forth from the pod of wisdom,

And everything wise – “LIVE ALL YE MERCIFUL”!
